One base, four machines: how PLAYmake 4in1 works
With simple plug-in modules on one machine bed, children build four working machines and convert one into another.
The base
Every module runs from the same 12-volt base. The machine bed connects to standard large building plates or can be screwed onto a wooden base with the 4 screws included.
Jigsaw
Cuts plywood up to 6 mm thick, and balsa wood and cardboard up to 20 mm. The short 3 mm blade stroke does not injure skin on contact.
Drill press
Adjustable drilling height from 0 to 40 mm. A wood drill bit is included.
Wood lathe
Turns softwood up to Ø 30 mm into spinning tops, figures and pens. The lathe stops automatically if it is overloaded.
Sander
A Ø 32 mm sanding disc spinning at 2,650 rpm gives smooth, finished edges.
Like the big machines
PLAYmake follows the design principles and functions of full-size industrial tools. Making small objects gives children their first hands-on experience with real machines.
